Goodbye 2010

Well the new year is here and we get to start fresh. I'm in the process of designing a hall table at the moment and hope to begin work on it in a week or so.
I hope everyone had a safe New Years.

Tadaaaaahh!!

It's finally done, I can't believe it. It's in the house, in the kitchen and it made it before Christmas.
From rough cut lumber to this. This is why I love Woodworking.

Still working on it

Isn't it funny how a couple of days turns into six? I got sidetracked with some other things for Christmas and the table got pushed to the side. Here it is as of about 12:50 Mountain time on Tuesday. The molding is attached to the aprons and the second coat of Arm-R-Seal is on the top waiting for me to come home from work tonight so I can buff it out and apply a third. Then I can move it out tomorrow and bring in the base and get it painted. Lets hope all goes as planned. It won't.

Almost there

Here is the table as it sat last night. I'm still working on a couple of small details, I hope it will only be a couple more days. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
