I'm thinking of making a new kitchen for our house, but I've never done anything that large. I'm going to do a bunch of research on it and see if it is really what I want to do.
I'm also wanting to build a bed for my wife and I. She wants a dark wood like walnut, or Mahogany. I'm not against that but I've kind of gotten to liking painted pieces these days. I was thinking of using Poplar and painting it black. Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm excited to see the kitchen! I'll know who to call if Lyle and I ever build a new house! ;)
As for the bedroom...I like painted pieces too...but Vicki loves wood! I say go with cherry or mahogany to make her smile.
